Why Choose Dejusto Plumbing?

Our Process

1

Leak Detection / Assessment

For repairs, we pressure test the system to confirm a leak and use sniffers to locate it. For installs, we calculate the load to ensure your meter can handle the new appliance.

2

Permitting (If Required)

For new lines or major repairs, we handle the permitting process with your local city or county building department.

3

Installation / Repair

We use proper materials (black iron, CSST, or poly for underground) to install or fix the line, ensuring all joints are sealed correctly.

4

Pressure Testing

We pump air into the system and monitor the pressure gauge for a set time to guarantee there are absolutely no leaks before turning the gas back on.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I smell gas?
If you smell a strong sulfur/rotten egg odor, evacuate the house immediately. Do not turn light switches on or off. Call PG&E or 911 from a safe distance. Once they shut off the gas and make the area safe, call us to find and fix the leak.
Yes! We can run a dedicated gas line to your patio or deck for a built-in BBQ or fire pit, so you never have to worry about swapping propane tanks again.
While not mandatory in all older homes, it is highly recommended in California. An earthquake valve automatically shuts off your gas supply during a significant tremor, preventing fires from ruptured lines.
If PG&E detects a leak, they will shut off your meter and ‘red tag’ it. They will not turn it back on until a licensed plumber (like us) repairs the leak and the repair passes a pressure test inspection.
